Emeritus Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman, will inaugurate the exhibition as
chief guest. Eminent Artist Mustafa Monowar, will be present as
special guest. Renowned artist Qayyum Chowdhury will preside over the
ceremony


The exhibition will remain open from 10 am to 8 pm daily, 3 to 20

Solo painting exhibition by celebrated artist Mohammad Iqbal at 5.00 pm, on Friday 24 September 2010, at the gallery chitrak.

Professor, Rafiqun Nabi, will inaugurate the exhibition as chief
guest. Eminent cultural personality Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, will be
present as special guest. Poet Rabiul Hussain will preside over the
ceremony.

inauguration of Monica Jahan Bose's exhibition, 7 pm on 16 July

"Open the Door"
by MONICA JAHAN BOSE

You are cordially invited to the inauguration of "Open the Door," a
solo exhibition of mixed-media paintings by Bangladeshi-American
artist Monica Jahan Bose that is being supported by the American
Center of the US Embassy, Dhaka. The exhibition will be inaugurated
on Friday, 16 July 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Dhaka Art Center, House 60,
Road 7/A, Dhanmondi , Dhaka-1205, Bangladesh.
Dr. Dipu Moni , the Honorable Foreign Minister of the Government of
the People's Republic of Bangladesh, will be present as the Chief
Guest to inaugurate the exhibition. Lauren H. Lovelace, Director of
the American Center of the United States Embassy, Dhaka, will be
present as a Special Guest. Eminent art critic Moinuddin Khaled will
speak about the works in the exhibition.

Sigmar Polke Exhibition: Invitation to the inauguration ceremony

Dear Partners and Friends

Goethe-Institut Bangladesh honors the artist Sigmar Polke by bringing a
collection of 40 original gouaches to Bangladesh. Sigmar Polke was one of
Germany's foremost painters and most important representatives of
contemporary German art who passed away recently. This extraordinary
exhibition with the title 'Music from an Unknown Source', will give an
insight into his artistic compositions which used to have a singular
position in the contemporary art scene of Germany and belongs to the most
significant of the German postwar era.

The inauguration program will take place on Thursday 15th July at 6.30 PM.
Eminent artist professor Rafiq un Nabi has given his consent to inaugurate
the exhibition as a chief guest. Tayeba Begum Lipi, founder and trustee of
Britto Arts Trust will be present there in the inauguration as a special
guest.
